Granada will charm you. It is a city of perfect size, not too small, not too large. It has everything that is needed to lead a peaceful life and have a great time.
In Granada, it does not matter if you prefer the sea or the mountains; it is all so close that you will not have to choose. What is more, it is surrounded by natural parks. If you like skiing or snowboarding, you have it made - we are very close to the Sierra Nevada ski station.
Well known as a land of artists, with a vast cultural wealth and historical value, its streets are always full of tourists discovering the city. The Alhambra more than deserves a visit, as does the Albaicin and the Sacromonte, to name but a few.
Granada is a relatively cheap city in comparison to Madrid or Barcelona, and it has a cultural offering that is comparable. It is full of concert halls, theaters, pubs and bars to suit all tastes. There are numerous festivals held here: the International Music and Dance Festival, the International Jazz Festival, the Southern Cinemas Festival, The International Tango Festival, and the Young Directors Film Festival, among others.
As far as the people go, we were born in the South and our reputation precedes us: we are open and friendly. And that is why those who arrive from afar always receive a warm welcome in this city. You will fit right in before you know it.
